THIS ROD WEIGHS AN AMAZING 1.13 OUNCES!

The new Upstream range from Douglas Outdoors brings unique, ultra-lite fly rods to the river with full flex, slow actions that are a joy to fish. These rods create precise presentations, feel like glass, and are incredibly fun to fish for brook trout on creeks and small streams. As Douglas says of this series: "Every fish feels like a big fish" with a Douglas Upstream rod.

Each rod is designed to have a minimum, but high function approach to bush and upcountry fishing environments. The challenge of both close casting and designing a rod that will control your line, fly and catch with authority, is a balance that Upstream strikes with ease. Each of these high modulus blanks are finished with cork cap, ring reel seats and a natural Tonkin Bamboo color way with clear wraps. A light weight 1 5/8" brushed aluminum rod tube and sock are included with each rod. Pick up a Douglas Upstream rod and you will want to get on the water and try this new approach to traditional light line angling!

Presenting the new Winston Saltwater AIR - lightweight saltwater rods with Winston Boron III technology that are easy to cast. The new Saltwater AIR series is very light and allows for unprecedented fast recovery, for any length of cast. Combining our proprietary SuperSilica lightweight resin system and Boron III material with modern progressive tapers, Winston Saltwater AIR rods deliver the celebrated Winston "feel", along with balanced, fast graphite recovery rates, for incredible line speed and presentation, making them our most versatile rods in saltwater environments. What this means for anglers is faster mid-sections to dictate line control and easily manage windy conditions along with Boron III technology applied in the butt section for more lifting strength to fight and land fish quickly.
